Dallas Disco Clubs

    • Dallas has more to offer than the cliche ranches and cowboys. The nightlife scene in Dallas is as trendy as anywhere else in the country. Residents and visitors who have a voracious appetite for dancing can pick from a plethora of dance clubs offering every type of music. Dallas has numerous hip clubs to satisfy all musical tastes, and they cater to college students, older crowds and the gay/lesbian community.

    Lift

    • Lift is a modern disco-tech dance club for those 21 and over. The club has a 400-person capacity and reserves intimate parties for 20 upon request. The club offers customized cocktails and live music---either a band or DJ. A special DJ act spins every Tuesday nights in the club, while a regular rotation works the rest of the week. VIP tables are available with a capacity of 10 people per table, and five cabanas are available with a two-bottle minimum. Amenities include a non-smoking atmosphere, availabls VIP memberships, valet parking and special events upon request. Hours of operation are Thursday through Saturday from 9 p.m. to 2 a.m.

    Trestle

    • Trestle, located in East Dallas, is one of the most talked about gay clubs in the city. While a suit is not required to get into Trestle, upscale attire will help. The venue is geared toward those looking for a nice place to hang out with friends and to singles who wish to meet new people. The B.Y.O.B. venue is known for its dark rooms, private patio area and leather seating, where disco and top-40 music abound. The bar draws in a late night and after-hours crowd, and the best time to arrive is after midnight. Pool tables and video games are also available. Hours of operation are 8 p.m. to 2 a.m.

    Side 2

    • Side 2 is the perfect place to grab a drink and relax after work until the karaoke machine is plugged in. Then everyone crowds the dance floor, moving to music the DJs play---which includes '80s, New Wave, disco, rock and pop. The crowd is diverse, although most of the patrons are members of the local gay and lesbian community. Side 2 offers happy hour specials daily and is open from 10 p.m. to 2 a.m.
