How to Set Hair With Hot Curlers
- 1). Switch on the heated rollers so they heat up while you dry your hair with a hairdryer and brush it out.
- 2). Divide the hair into three equal sections across your head, using a comb or your fingers. Secure each section using a hair elastic or barrette.
- 3). Release the top section of hair that is pinned up. Take a piece of hair the same width as the roller and wrap the end around the roller. Roll upward toward the scalp and pin in position using a roller clip or bobby pin.
- 4). Repeat this curling technique, working on the hair at the top of head, using larger rollers around the front sections so the large curls will frame your face.
- 5). Unclip the middle section of hair, putting it in to curlers in the same way you did the top section, starting at the ends of the hair, rolling upward and pinning in position. Finally, curl the bottom section of hair.
- 6). Remove the rollers once they have cooled completely. Define and separate your curls using your fingers and finish with a maximum hold hairspray.
