Easy Ways to Cook Snapper
- Grilling snapper fillet is easy and a great choice in the summer time. Create a marinade out of your favorite ingredients and then separate it in to two bowls. One bowl should be used to marinate the snapper for two to three hours before you want to cook it. You will then want to place your snapper in a grill basket. Set the grill basket on a heated grill. Brush some of the marinade from the second bowl on the snapper every two to three minutes. After 15 to 20 minutes the snapper should be done. You will know it is cooked all the way when it flakes with a fork.
- Another easy method for cooking snapper fillet is to pan fry it. Heat up some olive oil in a pan. While the oil is heating up, you need to coat the snapper with flour. You can add any spices you want to the flour before you coat the snapper with it. Place the snapper in the frying pan and cook until the bottom starts to brown a little. Flip the snapper over and cook until that side becomes slightly brown. Remove from the oil and serve with a wedge of lemon.
- Baking a snapper fillet doesn't require any flipping, marinating, or basting. All you have to do is combine the ingredients in a baking dish and set it in the oven. Set your oven to 375 degrees F. Place a tbsp. of olive oil in a baking dish and spread it around the bottom of the pan. Set the snapper fillets in the baking dish. Pour the sauce of your choice over the snapper, cover it with foil, and set it in the oven. Bake for 20 to 30 minutes or until the snapper flakes with a fork.
