San Francisco Bay Area Animal Shelters
San Francisco Bay Area Animal Shelters
An animal shelter is one of the first places to check if you've lost your pet. Shelters provide lists of missing pets -- and reports of found pets.
A shelter or rescue is also the best place to adopt a pet, given the numbers of animals that our found or surrendered to shelters each year. A new home and another chance is the best gift you can give to an shelter pet.
These are local animal shelters in the San Francisco Bay Area. Not [yet] included are other rescue groups and humane societies.
After San Francisco, the city shelters are in alphabetical order.
