How to Defrost a Frozen Cake With Buttercream Frosting

    • 1). Remove the wrapped, frozen cake from the freezer three days before you want to eat it and place in the refrigerator to defrost.

    • 2). Remove the cake from the refrigerator and unwrap it.

    • 3). Place the unwrapped cake on the counter to come to room temperature on the day you are ready to eat the cake.

    • 4). Check the temperature and softness of the cake and frosting by seeing if you can run a knife easily through it. Slice and enjoy.
