How to Make a Pumpkin Clock
- 1). Print out a clock face template from your computer, and cut around the clock face with scissors to fit the bottom of your pumpkin.
- 2). Cut a circle around the stem of the pumpkin, and remove the insides with a spoon.
- 3). Turn the pumpkin over, and attach the clock template to the bottom of the pumpkin with tape.
- 4). Follow the lines on the template to poke tiny holes into the pumpkin through the template. Follow the outside of the lines, and outline all the details of the numbers. Add eyes and a mouth for a spooky clock.
- 5). Remove the template, and use a linoleum cutter to gouge the flesh of the pumpkin over the holes from the template.
- 6). Place a strand of clear Christmas lights in a glass jar, and insert the jar into the pumpkin. Check that all the numbers and details of the clock are all bright enough to see, if not remove the jar and scrape the inside of the pumpkin to make the pumpkin thinner so the light will pass through.
- 7). Install the clock kit on the face of the pumpkin as directed by the instructions in the kit. Use a drill to make a tiny hole in the center of the pumpkin for the clock piece to fit through.
