Using Artificial Flowers At Your Wedding
There are brides-to-be who cannot even begin to imagine a good reason to have artificial flowers at their weddings instead of fresh flowers. You might be surprised to hear how many good reasons there are. Not just reasons...good reasons. Reasons you might end up resorting to even if you don't know that yet.
There is one thing that is an absolute. If you plan to use a wedding planner, they are going to vehemently resist the use of artificial flowers. The use of artificial flowers does not appear in their vocabulary.
However, if you have a wedding planner, there's a good chance you will not need the use of artificial flowers, because you probably have a budget for flowers that can afford any fresh flowers you can choose. If you can afford a wedding planner, you may even be able to pay for expensive orchids that have to be flown around the world. So, if you have a wedding planner, you probably do not have to read this.
Unfortunately, most of us do not have a budget that can afford a wedding planner. So, now you know one good reason for choosing artificial flowers at your wedding...sticking to your budget. Even if you had money budgeted for fresh flowers, you may have gone lost your head and went over the budget on your dress. Or you wanted a special location for your wedding. It is not unusual for brides to use the flower budget to offset their extravagancies on other items.
Perhaps you had your heart set on using certain flowers and they were in your vision all along only to find out that those flowers are not available the time of year you are getting married. The only way to get them is to fly them in from where ever they are available. Suddenly, we are back to a budget crunch, so we find ourselves back to artificial flowers.
If you have already picked your colors, and made purchases, such as your wedding gown or bridesmaid dresses before you found out you couldn't get the flowers you wanted, you might not have a choice to use artificial flowers. If that is true, it's ok. It's being done more and more these days.
Perhaps you see yourself as a very pragmatic person. There is no question that you can save a lot of money by using artificial flowers instead of fresh ones. Especially if the church and location would cost a great deal of money to go overboard with fresh flowers. To some brides these days, it simply makes good sense.
For another reason to use artificial flowers, perhaps the couple has a new home they want to move into that needs some work. It would not make financial sense to invest money in fresh flowers that you might be able to use to buy your first home together.
As a result of all these reasons to use artificial flowers, what may not have seemed such a good idea before can change your mind. It is a matter of making intelligent decisions based on need. After all, what is more important than your keeping to your budget when the wedding and reception is over, or your future as a couple?
