How to Play Edim on Ukulele

    • 1). Hold the center of the ukulele body by placing the right arm over the front with the strings facing away from the musician's body. Rest the back of the ukulele body against the musician's abdomen. Place the neck of the ukulele in the left hand near the string spacer between the left index thumb and left index finger.

    • 2). With the tip of the left index finger, hold down the "C" string or string that is second from the top on the first bar between the string spacer and the first fret. Keep the tip of the left index finger on the bar without touching the string spacer or fret. Firmly press the left thumb on the back of the ukulele neck directly behind the tip of the left index finger.

    • 3). Use the left middle finger to hold down the "A" or bottom string on the first bar between the string spacer and the first fret. Try to keep the left index and the left middle finger between the frets without touching any unassigned strings.

      Edim

Press the left index finger and left middle finger firmly on the assigned strings. Make sure both of the fingers are on the first bar between the string spacer and first fret without touching any unassigned strings. With the right hand, gently strum all of the strings near the center of the ukulele body to hear the Edim chord.
