Packing For Egypt - What You Must Not Forget

A travel to Egypt is probably one of the best experiences that you can ever encounter.
The ancient historical pyramids, statues, the Red Sea, modern beautiful buildings and Mount Sinai are just examples of the places you will live to remember.
There are important things that you should remember to pack when travelling to Egypt.
It is impossible to travel to any place without money so you need to ensure that you have enough to cover your trip.
Credit and debit cards are widely accepted but, it is important to confirm with your bank whether your cards are usable and request the PIN Code before you begin your journey.
It is also good to carry travelers' checks and some cash to avoid facing difficulties in case your cards are stolen or lost.
If in any case your cards are lost or stolen, report to the issuing company and bank immediately for replacements.
Egypt is a dry land full of sand and is dusty throughout the year.
You will experience hot temperatures during the day and cool temperatures during the night.
There is no rain or humidity therefore, pack light clothes(cotton float skirts/linen trousers, loose-fitting tops/t-shirts) sun glasses, enough underwear and socks, a pair of swim wear, sun screen and comfortable walking shoes.
Insect repellent, bacterial wipes and lotions are also very essential.
You should not forget to carry a camera of good quality and enough batteries.
You should also include a light rain proof jacket and a small umbrella to protect your body from the excessive heat from the sun.
Pain killers are very essential when traveling.
Allergy tablets including any other medication that you might need in your travel should not be left out.
Tissues, combs, toothpaste, toothbrush, handkerchief and sanitary towels for ladies are also very important to carry.
You should not forget to include suntan lotion and moisturizer.
Pack a rechargeable cell phone, travel clock, washing powder, a pen, a notebook, power adapters and a small day bag.
Do not over pack your luggage in order to have a comfortable and independent travel.
Light luggage will be easier for you to carry.
It is extremely important to label your luggage both outside and inside with your name and home address and attach stickers to easily identify or spot your luggage.
Carry your travel documents (passport, visa, driving license, identification card) in a small belt bag under your clothes and their photocopies of the same in your luggage so that in case of theft or misplacement, you will have a quick replacement.
Leave photocopies of the same documents with a trusted friend or relative back home who you can contact while you are away.
While in Egypt, remember to follow all the laws, rules and regulations to avoid being a victim of crime.
