Video: How to Glue Rhinestones Onto Fake Eyelashes

Video Transcript

Hi, I'm Lisa Nielson, Beauty Maven and celebrity makeup artist. And I'm talking today about how you can apply rhinestones to your false eyelashes. So, this is a look that's trendy, it's more editorial, I think it has more of a young vibe. So, we're doing it on our beautiful model, Chloe Nielson, she's a teenager, so this is a nice fit for her. We've done that pretty hot pink eye shadow on her, just to give this a high fashion edge and a minimal blush, more natural lips too. So, this is a great, kind of monochromatic in terms of cheeks, lips and eyes and then, big eyelashes. What you want to do, is look for some little rhinestones that are self-adhesive. Now, you could use some eyelash glue, if you wanted to. But I think that when you use some that are self adhesive, you can have the advantage of not having to tinker with the eyelash glue which can be really difficult to work with. O.k., so, we want to make it, so that it shows up and brightens the eye, go ahead and open for me. This creates a little bit of interest. And you'll notice that we do it on sort of a 45 degree angle, when her eyes open, just a pop of jewel right there. If it's got a good adhesive back, it's going to stick and last for several hours for you. So, be careful in your eye area, you don't want anything falling on the gem, or falling on your eyes. But I think this is a fun, edgy, kind of youthful way to you know, play with your makeup. I'm Lisa Nielson and that's how I would apply a rhinestone to false eyelashes.
