How to update your home on a small budget
- 1). Start by repainting your desired rooms with neutral colors. Light shades of green, taupe, gray or even different variations of white alongside painting trim and doors a bright white can give any room a clean, updated look and feeling of space. Going to your local home improvement store, hardware or grocery store and renting a professional steam cleaner and giving your existing carpets a good cleaning can also update the look of your home.

Besides paint, try updating cabinets pulls/knobs by spray painting old hardware white, black, metallic, or if the budget allows, replace the hardware altogether with something like brushed nickel, which is very popular right now.
