How to Disable the Enhanced Driver Seat Belt Reminder System
- 1). Sit in the driver's seat of your vehicle. Close all of the vehicle's doors. Do not insert your vehicle's key in the ignition yet.
- 2). Buckle your seat's seat belt. Insert the key in the ignition and turn the ignition to the "ON" position. Wait for the seat belt reminder light (on your dashboard) to turn off.
- 3). Unbuckle and buckle your seat belt three to five times within 45 to 60 seconds after inserting your vehicle's key in the ignition. Turn the key to the "LOCK" position and listen for the single chime. The single chime signifies that your BeltAlert Enhanced Seat Belt Use Reminder system is disabled.
