How to Put Tire Chains on a 2002 Suburban

- 1). Park the Chevy Suburban on flat, level ground in a well-lit area. Place the center of the tire chain over the top center of a tire. Make sure that the rear locking hook on the end of the tire chain is on the rear side of the tire. This hook should be marked with paint.
- 2). Untwist any chain links that are tangled or overlapping. Adjust the tire chains so that all of the sections are even with each other.
- 3). Connect the hook on the rear of the tire to the O-connector. Connect the front hook on the front of the tire chain to the chain tensioner and pull the metal arm back to lock the chain in place.
