Stopping Foreclosure Before You Walk Away
You're two months behind in your mortgage payments.
Most likely you're a walking wreck.
You want to ignore it all.
Just put it out of your mind and pretend this problem doesn't exist at all.
Stop! Two months is usually not enough to start foreclosure, especially if you call your banker and tell them, honestly why you are behind in your payments.
It could be you lost your job but have several interviews coming up soon.
Tell them that.
Let them know you will be working again as soon as you possibly can.
Or it could be an unexpected illness that your insurance won't cover.
Bankers know that unforeseen events come up in our lives all the time.
After all, they're people too - and most of them aren't as hard hearted as you think.
A lot of them understand and appreciated your staying in touch with them.
These calls usually go on record and the banker at least knows your not ignoring the problem.
Stopping foreclosure is your goal.
If you have to ask for a loan from your family or friends in order to stop foreclosure, don't be too proud to do so.
It can't hurt.
Let them know how much you need and have a specific pay back schedule with you.
If they know you lost your job and are sending out resumes consistently, they may be able to give you a helping hand.
After all your family and friends don't want to see you lose your home.
And it never hurts to ask; you might be surprised at how understanding they can be in your time of need.
Unfortunately, it is very humiliating when you are struggling financially.
Losing your home should not been seen as the end of the world, but if there is a way that you could have stopped foreclosure by simply being willing to ask for help you may be able to re-build your finances and life in the very near future.
If you can not find any available money resources or people to help you with some extra money then perhaps you could offer to trade some yard work or carpentry services in exchange for them helping you out.
There is a saying that goes that this.
"Where there is a will there is a way".
If you want to save your home from foreclosure then you can do it.
many people have been able to salvage their situation by being creative.
