How to Remove the Bolt Fuel Filter in a 98 Camry 4 Cylinder

- 1). Pop the hood and locate the fuel filter on the firewall. It has a metal lead that runs into it from the base of the filter, and a flexible line that comes out the top of the filter. Place the drain pan underneath the filter.
- 2). Loosen the bottom fuel line on the fuel filter using a line wrench. Then pull off the plastic cap on the top of the upper fuel line with both hands and pull it up to remove the clamp. Then push in the clips on the sides of the fuel line to remove the upper fuel line from the fuel filter.
- 3). Unbolt the fuel filter from the firewall using the 3/8-inch ratchet and socket. Then pour the contents out into the drain pan and discard the old filter.
