Considerate Tour Tips for Shanghai

Known as the financial hub of China, Shanghai is one of the cities I am most interested in. now that I would have a one-week holiday, I decide to take a trip to shanghai tour which is said to be the amazing combination of modern and traditional, or even east and west. I have read a couple of magazines and tourist handbook over Shanghai. The gorgeous gardens, temples, museum, to name but a few, all get me excited and I cannot wait for the visit.
Fortunately, who sits next to me on one of the Shanghai flights which I take is a kind lady living in Shanghai for twenty years. And she seems to be very open with the tour tips. With a great number of tourism resources, Shanghai has so many wonderful places waiting for exploration. You can do different things, eat unique foods and see great views each day and will never feel bored. The best places for sightseeing are Shanghai's Oriental Pearl Tower and Jinmao Tower. You can climb up to the top of either of them to see the breathtaking view of the entire city. Famous attractions like the elegant Yuyuan, the mysterious Jade Buddha Temple and the magnific people's square are a must for the tourists. At night, thousands of the neon lights light up, it is romantic to walk along the streets. Otherwise, the booming bars and nightclubs are also great choice to have fun. The city buses, taxies and sightseeing buses will take you to your destination, while you should pay attention to the busy hours of traffic still. From 7:30 to 9:00AM as well as 4:30 to 6:30PM is rush hour and you'd better avoid them. Shanghai is also a lovely city for shopping. Shopping areas are usually summed up in "Four Streets and Four Cities" – Nanjing Road, Huaihai Road, the Middle Tibet Road, North Sichuan Road and Yuyuan Shopping City, Xujiahui, Jiali Sleepless City, New Shanghai Shopping City. No matter you prefer fashion accessories or arts and crafts, you will be satisfied eventually. Shanghai cuisine tends to be a little bit sweet. The local restaurants, like the Paul Restaurant and the Maylinge Restaurant, offer fine food to people throughout the whole globe every day. You should not miss the specialties there, say, Pork Chop with Sour Plum and Braised Yellow Croaker, which are extremely delicious. With such detailed advice, I believe my trip to Shanghai must be more than delightful. I will enjoy myself to the full, and does it arouse your desire of visiting this fantastic city?
