- Infusion nurses dispense the sterile intravenous drug compounds at the home of the patient or at an alternate site. Home infusion pharmacy staff duties include administering infusions, assessing patients, monitoring dosage, and avoiding potential drug interactions.
- In addition to satisfying licensing board requirements, home infusion pharmacies usually seek accreditation of their facilities to assure insurers that their services and employees comply with state and federal regulations.
