- 1). Take the check to your school bursar's office. The bursar's office is the business office for the school that handles all financial matters, including tuition payments and student loans.
- 2). Meet with a cashier at the bursar's office. Provide the cashier with your student identification and other required identification, such as a driver's license.
- 3). Explain that you have a student loan check that needs to be cashed. The cashier will look up your school financial profile to determine how much is owed for tuition and fees.
- 4). Endorse the back of the check and give it to the cashier. The cashier will apply the loan check amount required for tuition and fees and provide you with the balance in cash.
