How to Restore Missing Email & Contacts in IncrediMail
- 1). Go to the IncrediMail main window. Click on "File" and click on "Export." Then click on "Contacts."
- 2). Watch for the "Save as" box to come up and save the file in a csv format to your computer's desktop.
- 3). Exit IncrediMail by clicking on the "Exit" tray in the lower right-hand corner.
- 4). Find the Address Book folder on your computer. This is located at C:\Documents and Settings\Your Profile(Logon Name)\Local Settings\Application Data\IM\Identities\{Long Number} in Windows XP or Windows 2000, or at C:\Windows\Application Data\IM\Identities\{Long Number} in Windows ME or 98.
- 5). Delete the Address Book Folder.
- 6). Reopen IncrediMail, click on "File," "Import" and then "Contacts."
- 7). Select "IncrediMail exported contacts" and click "Next."
- 8). Click on "Select file" and then select the Imported Contacts in the csv format that you first saved onto your computer. Click "Next" to import those.
- 9). Click "Close" and continue to add contacts to your address book.
- 1). Go into your IncrediMail screen and click "Tools" and then "Message rules."
- 2). Read your message rules and see if there is one that says anything about new emails being sent to the trash folder.
- 3). Click on that particular rule and click "Delete."
- 4). Delete all of the rules if you do not see one that specifically applies to messages going to the trash folder.
