How to Be Certain Your Anti-Aging Skin Care Product Really Works

How do you find a cream that will keep your skin youthful or even restore the qualities it used to have? A glowing skin is highly attractive and a good sign of overall health.
But with hundreds of products shouting for your attention, where is it best to spend your money? It might be simpler than you think to get performance and value.
You cannot rely on makers' often confusing claims.
Some even make no sense.
For example, 'anti-wrinkle creams' or 'facial firming lotions' do not treat the skin but simply use ingredients to hide wrinkles or tighten the skin for a while.
Do not believe that collagen face creams have the magic ingredient.
And, did you know that all scented skin products carry a risk? Or that big promotions, top brands, famous celebrities and glorious colour advertising do not guarantee a quality product - nor does a massive price? Some celebrities are notorious for not using products they endorse so enthusiastically, with words written by marketing professionals.
Sadly, some manufacturers will be economical not only with the truth - but with the active ingredients that go into their pots, tubs, jars and tubes.
But the checks you should make to be sure you are buying the best anti-aging skin care products are simple.
Buy nothing that does not pass all these four simple tips: 1Price is no guide to quality.
A better anti-aging skin cream may cost more than a useless one.
But the most expensive may be because of the famous brand and may not work well.
2Marketing can often mislead.
Many manufacturers spend more on marketing than on making the best products possible.
Why would you trust the words of a beautiful young celebrity? He or she is chosen because they are beautiful and young, not because the cream has improved their skin.
And their big fees go onto the cost of the product.
3Avoid skin products that are perfumed.
Usually the chemicals in fragrances have toxins in them; these can cause you long term harm.
With an anti-aging skin cream product you are regularly massaging it into your skin.
Perfumes and body sprays will do you far less harm; they are only applied occasionally and never all over.
4Avoid anti-aging skin care products that contain collagen.
These do not work.
It is true that one of the reasons our skin starts to sag, and get wrinkles, is because the collagen in our skin breaks down.
Externally applied collagen may temporarily disguise wrinkles but it does nothing for your skin quality; which is why some manufactures call their ingredients fillers, de-creasers and plumpers.
The only product that will help is one that contains ingredients that are proven to stimulate your body to produce more collagen itself.
Let me suggest one final piece of advice.
Your skin anti-aging cream will work best with some help.
Keep your skin clean and do not use too much makeup, too often.
Apply your chosen product as instructed not just when you are going out to celebrate.
Make sure you diet is working for you.
Plenty of pure water, fresh fruits and vegetables, cutting down on the alcohol, caffeine, white bread, white flour, white sugar, fat..
and no tobacco! Avoid sunshine or use a good sunscreen.
My lifetime in advising some of the best companies in the world has repeatedly shown me that many smaller companies have more integrity and honesty.
They avoid expensive, misleading marketing.
They often offer better products and this is certainly true with anti-aging skin care products or any health preparation.
They keep product costs lower.
Companies that sell direct also cut out big overheads - often halving product prices.
My role as a business adviser requires me to find, check and advise people of such companies.
