Sinusitis is a very familiar term to all of us. It is the inflammation of para- nasal sinuses. The causes are innumerous. It may be caused due to allergy, infection or due to autoimmune issues. One of the symptoms of Sinusitis can also be dizziness. Dizziness can definitely be associated with Sinus infection. If you feel dizzy, the underlying cause of it is probably dehydration, medication and certain other variety of causes. Sinusitis dizziness can be like a constant torture and may hurt you really bad at times.  The patient may feel extremely dizzy at times especially when the infection reaches the point of causing a severe headache or migraine.  Specific triggers, such as certain activities or positions may give rise to the underlying causes of dizziness.

With dizziness, the individual may feel faint, may have a sense of nausea. The person usually feels tired, confused, weak and clumsy during this time. There is a near sense of passing out. Thus, faintness, weakness, tiredness, confusion, off balance, headache, facial numbness, eye pain, dry mouth, decreased hearing, etc are all the causes and symptoms of sinusitis dizziness. The person also undergoes a lot of pain (palpitation, jaw pain, chest pain, burning, tightness, etc.); Abdominal pain (vomiting, nausea, cramping, etc.); Extremities of arms and legs which include tingling, weakness, clumsiness or fumbling, low and high pulse rate or even irregular pulse rate at times.

The causes of Sinusitis dizziness can be listed as follows:

• Sometimes, dizziness may be caused due to metabolic disorders such as hypoxia (low blood oxygen) or low blood sugar.
• Dehydration is also counted as a major cause of dizziness.
• Medication can also cause dizziness to a great extent. Dizziness due to medication has been commonly observed among patients now- a- days.
• When there is reduced ability for the blood circulation, the individual feels dizzy.
• Certain allergies tend to cause a certain amount of wheezing or low blood pressure, or can spark off sinusitis, which can indeed result in dizziness.
• Anemia/ low red blood cell count and infections also cause dizziness.

• Sometimes there is internal bleeding or hemorrhage, which may go unnoticed and unacknowledged which may often lead to dizziness.

Some other well- known causes of dizziness are depression and anxiety or even panic disorders.

Thus, we realize that dangerous and the most threatening diseases may start only with dizziness. Hence, it is recommended to call a doctor or a physician as soon as you can so as to avoid further complications.
