Save Our Ocean - Stop the Oil Spill

America it seems every 10 years, we are due for some awful event.
First, the twin towers and now, the oil spill.
My question is "When does it stop?" Off-shore drilling was always a risky idea but our former government accepted it.
Now, we are all paying the price for their decisions.
The ocean will never be the same again.
I hate to even write that, it seems as if it goes against every human instinct I have.
I usually practice Optimism, but in a situation like this I find it difficult to stand by that ideal.
We are in serious trouble.
When it first happened, I just thought that it would take a few hours to fix.
"No, big deal," I thought to myself.
Now, on day 77, I see just how crucial this is.
Tarballs are washing up in the beach, Tarballs! The whole situation sounds like a scene from a James Cameron Film.
I was watching Anderson Cooper the other night, and one of the rescuers showed how muddy the water was.
It looked a like an Oil Pump took a leak in the ocean.
As I sat, flabbergasted, two dolphins came by swimming in the background.
It made my entire heart sink.
What if we've finally taken our obsession with oil to such a level, that we wipe out ourselves.
A deadly irony, wouldn't you agree? As Americans, we should all donate money to a green agency, and prepare for the worst.
Who knows maybe someday the movie "Jaws," will be viewed by a younger generation like "Jurassic Park," a trip back in time to a mythical place, where the water was still blue and had some extinct animal called a fish in it.
