The Use of Caffeinated Substances by Surgeons

The Use of Caffeinated Substances by Surgeons

Conclusions

Surgeons often use caffeinated substances to cope with unfavourable working conditions. They try to cope with fatigue, long working hours as well as working the night shift. Furthermore, coffee use was more prevalent than the use of caffeinated drinks and caffeine tablets. Further studies should focus the subject of CE among surgeons in the scope of surgeons' health and the health of their patients.
