How to Get Rid of Bed Bugs Easily and Quickly

Lately bed bug infestations have been increasing at a drastic pace.
These annoying little critters can give you sleepless nights, and sore, ugly looking bites all over your body.
Health effects are mainly skin rashes, psychological effects and allergic symptoms.
Bed bugs are parasitic insects.
Wingless, tiny, flat, reddish brown in color and oval shaped with six legs.
They thrive on the blood of warm human beings.
The scientific name of the bed bug is cimexlectularius.
They are nocturnal and like to feed when it is dark, quiet and people are sleeping.
They inject saliva into the body of the host while feeding on blood.
The host bitten by the bug will show allergic symptoms.
They hide during the day in cracks and warm places.
Beds and sofas in our homes are their primary habitat.
They find their comfort zone and move in.
The modern home heating systems are enabling bed bugs to comfortably survive.
As they hide in many places it is not easy to get rid of them.
It takes major commitment to stop an infestation once it has started.
How do they reach your home? Whenever you visit a bed bug infested place, they can join you in your luggage, furniture, or on your clothes.
They love to hitchhike.
Whenever you go on vacation in any part of the world, the chances of bed bugs traveling back with you are very high.
Before going to bed at such locations, inspect the bed for tell tale signs of an infestation like the marks of their eggs, fecal spots, blood smears on sheets, and molts.
They have an odor to them of over-ripe raspberries or small almonds.
Which is why trained dogs can locate them.
Before going to bed at night, turn on the light, throw the blankets back and shine a flash light on the bed.
That should automatically show a sign of whether or not you need to be concerned.
A bright flashlight and persistence will help you succeed.
So how do you get rid of an infestation? The first thing to do is to identify the infested areas.
