How to Remove a 1999 Ford Mustang Clutch

- 1). Enter the driver's side of your Mustang. Use the pair of pliers to remove the clutch cable which is connected to the bottom of the clutch pedal.
- 2). Place a car jack underneath your Mustang. Raise the vehicle up off the ground. Place a jack stand underneath your frame for added support.
- 3). Locate the bell housing underneath the engine. This is the area where the opposite side of the clutch cable is connected. Use a wrench to remove the bolts which hold the end of the clutch cable in place.
- 4). Use a pair of pliers to remove the cable carefully from the bell housing. In order to fully remove it you will have to slide the cable through the firewall on the engine.
- 5). Re-enter the vehicle and remove the screws which hold the clutch pedal in place using a Phillips screwdriver. Remove the pedal to complete the clutch removal process.
