Experience A Groundbreaking Design With The Scorpion Exo 1000
The Scorpion EXO 1000 featured a groundbreaking design when it first hit the market a couple years ago. In fact, many of the features included on the helmet when it was first introduced to the market have become pretty standard on many of todays helmets. Still, the Scorpion EXO 1000 is still doing quite well in terms of sales thanks to its great features.
Getting Ventilated with the Scorpion EXO 1000
The Scorpion EXO 1000 pushes air through pretty well. Although it does not provide the same level of ventilation as top-of-the-line helmets, it does provide nearly an 8 out of 10 in terms of ventilation. In addition, the Scorpion EXO 1000 does move air through a bit better than the Scorpion EXO 700.
With the Scorpion EXO 1000, which is both Snell 2005 and DOT certified and features a Kevlar composite shell, you get a vent directly above the shield as well as a couple of RAM air intakes at the top. These intakes are easy to operate while wearing gloves. In the back, the helmet features an adjustable exhaust system that is even labeled with open and close, making it easy to be certain you have the exhaust adjusted properly.
Enjoying a Great Shield System with the Scorpion EXO 1000
As with all Scorpion helmets, the Scorpion EXO 1000 features a great visor system that is easy to change out. In fact, all you need to do is lift the visor up and then twist the disk on the side. After twisting the disk, the visor can be easily removed by pulling it away from the helmet. To put a new visor in place, simply put it into position and then twist the disk back into position.
The Scorpion EXO 1000 helmet also features an excellent anti-fog system. Just as with other Scorpion helmets, this helmet is virtually fog-free. In addition, the helmet features a tinted drop down sunshade. All you need to do to deploy the sunshade is to push the lever on the side of the helmet. When you are ready for the sunshade to go back up, you just press the lever back up. The drop down shade is a great feature for those who commute with their bikes, as it helps block out the sun without interfering with glasses. In addition, the shade drops own far enough that you dont have to worry about seeing the lower edge as you look through the shade.
