Hints for Mah Jong Balance of Life
- The ultimate goal of each puzzle in "Mah Jong Quest III: Balance of Life" is to clear the gold Yin and Yang tiles. Sometimes this isn't possible without first clearing all or almost all of the other tiles on the board, but other times you can clear them when you still have many unused tiles left, and this earns you more points. Keep this goal in mind whenever working through a puzzle and it will help you solve many that might feel impossible at first.
- Power ups can be helpful tools, but not if used poorly. Try solving every level without using power ups, because these come in limited quantities. If you get too eager, you might waste a power up and find that you have to restart the puzzle because you truly needed it later. When you do decide to use one --- whether because it's in your way and you have to move it to progress, or because you're completely stuck otherwise --- carefully weigh the options for which tile you use it on. Look a few moves ahead to see where the power up will help you most in the long run.
- This level is one of the trickiest in the game. Don't bother trying to clear all the tiles. Instead, use the magnifying glass power up to locate the Yin and Yang tiles. Lift the surrounding tiles using the butterflies, and once the Yin and Yang tiles are free, you can click on them and defeat the level. You'll have to match a couple of these with tiles near the exterior of the puzzle, but this is simple to do once the tiles are lifted.
- The game doesn't have any intentional cheats, but has a glitch you can utilize as a cheat. If you find that the timer on a particular level isn't allowing you adequate time to figure out the puzzle, you can stop it. When you first start a puzzle, before touching any of the tiles, leave and restart the game. When you return to the puzzle, the timer won't ever start, giving you unlimited time to complete the puzzle.
