Thinking Bigger Inside Your Box

Everyone tells you to think outside of the box.
So, along those lines, I had another thought: What if my box is actually bigger than I thought? Even if it was, I knew that I was still safely inside it.
It was still cozy, climate controlled, cushioned, and I've always liked it in there.
Most of all, it's safe.
Since it's all of those wonderful things, I haven't necessarily wanted to venture out of there.
Maybe I just needed to look around my box again, to see if it had changed since the last time I looked.
So, I opened my eyes a little wider (imagine that), and the light hurt my eyes a little bit.
Then I looked around me, instead of just straight ahead.
I realized I'd been suffering from tunnel vision for a while.
Everything had changed! Why, now that I thought about it - the air had changed - I could breathe more easily! This was an amazing discovery! And of course, you guessed it! MY BOX HAD GOTTEN BIGGER! (It's okay, this is a good thing) It had gotten so much bigger, I was almost scared! I couldn't touch the edges of the box anymore, and I didn't bump my head when I stood up.
I could walk around freely inside and do more.
And build more in there.
I could even fit a couch in there now so I could sit down, relax, and entertain new people and ideas in there! How did this happen? When did this happen? What did it mean? So I sat down and thought, inside my box on my new couch.
I thought for a long time, while I enjoyed the new vista.
And then I saw how it happened.
It was on the wall across the box in front of me.
I had learned soooo many new things that it had made my box bigger so I would have a place to put all of this new information.
I could reach out and touch all of this new knowledge whenever I wanted it, because it was in the box with me! And when I listened, I heard the echoes of all of the voices who had taught me things or helped me learn.
All I had to do was to lean this way or that way and I could hear it all over again! If I forgot something I could pick up a CD and play it.
They were with me, too! I was overcome with excitement! (which doesn't happen very much as I get older) I hadn't set out to make my box larger, but it had happened magically.
So I had to just bask in this new sensation for a while before I did anything.
My senses were going wild! Things looked sharper, sounded better, but most of all - It felt sooo good! Now I'm done basking, and I'm using all of this wonderful stuff.
I'm ready to completely care for my target market of service professionals.
I developed new programs that will work wonderfully well with Book Yourself Solid.
I have new knowledge that I can use to help my clients.
Now I am absolutely confident that I can completely help them with all of the financial issues of their business from the beginning to the end of their service careers, It all fits together perfectly! Life is good! I haven't been this excited since I was a teenage girl at a rock concert - and that was just a cheap thrill by comparison.
So if you can't think outside of your box, or don't want to, then expand it by learning more.
It takes more time than screwing up your courage and venturing out of your box, but it works! And THAT isn't scary at all! Best of all, from that point forward, if you DO leave your box, you'll be better prepared for the adventure.
