How to Keep My Bracelets With Toggle Closures From Falling Off

    • 1). Place the bracelet around your wrist and clasp the toggle closure securely. Check the fit of the bracelet. Often when a toggle clasp does not stay closed, the bracelet is too large for your wrist. The lack of snug tension on the clasp enables the bar to work its way out of the ring.

    • 2). Remove the bracelet and lay it out on a flat work surface. Examine the bracelet to determine where you can shorten it slightly. If the bracelet has extra jump rings attaching to either side of the toggle clasp, removing even one jump ring can make a big difference.

    • 3). Pull apart a jump ring that attaches to either side of the toggle clasp. Use the chain nose pliers to shift the ends of the ring away from each other and remove the jump ring from the bracelet.

    • 4). Reattach the toggle clasp to the next ring of the bracelet by opening the ring carefully with the chain nose pliers. Slip the toggle clasp onto the ring and close the ring.

    • 5). Try the bracelet on again. Because you shortened it slightly, you should notice more tension in the bracelet, which should keep the toggle clasp from opening.
