La Tania - Relaxation On and Off the Ski Slopes

Skiing in France is a delightful way to spend a holiday.
The French Alps provide a beautiful and challenging environment for skiers of all levels.
Wondering where to stay? If you are looking for ski chalets, La Tania offers some of the best available in the world's largest skiable region - Les Trois Vallées (The Three Valleys).
Les Trois Vallées is a skier's paradise.
You can find everything to make your holiday a success and it's all within your reach.
Drive, park, and then ski all day long! Or, you can stay within the boundaries of any of the area's ski resorts.
These include Van Thoren, Les Menuires, Méribel, Courchevel and Saint Marten de Belleville.
Stay in any one of the charming chalets La Tania offers within its boundaries and use it as a base from which to enjoy everything else throughout the region.
Enjoy the Quiet For those used to the hustle and bustle of such resorts as Courchevel, La Tania offers a welcome change.
The small village is a source of delight both on and off the slopes.
You can see it all from the windows of any of the many picturesque, typical, chocolate box-style chalets - La Tania stretching out before you.
The decision to build the resort originally had a distinctly practical purpose - to provide for the athletes and sporting events of the 1992 Olympic Games.
Today, the village and resort continues to ensure visitors enjoy their stay amidst beautiful and quiet surroundings.
As pine trees surround many of the chalets, La Tania has an untouched look and feel about it.
The ambience of a small village prevails, and this includes the nightlife.
While you can find live music at Le Ski Lodge, and can socialise at the Olympique and other local bars and restaurants, après ski proceeds at a quieter pace.
If you want to listen to loud music and be part of large, noisy, crowds, simply ski, drive or shuttle on over to Courchevel or Méribel.
Peaceful Mountain Runs The same peace pervades the mountains around the resort's chalets.
La Tania is blessed with quiet pistes and trees line the runs to and from the resort.
This makes it a wonderful ski-to-door resort.
The trees also manage to mute the outside sounds and provide privacy for those skiing to and from their chalets.
This does not mean, however, that the runs are less challenging or the slopes less difficult.
The resort sits at a height of 1400 m (4593 ft).
Its highest elevation for skiing is 3200 m (10,499 ft).
You can ski down a vertical of some 1800 m or 5906 ft.
With 600 km of ski piste and 200 ski lifts, you can hardly call the resort minor league.
Nor does it lack good powder.
Indeed, La Tania lies within the Dou des Lanches.
This has some of the very best powder in the entire Trois Vallées.
But if this does not satisfy your adventurous streak, you can easily ski off to the other resorts.
If you purchase a pass you can ski at any and/or all of the other resorts.
You can enjoy the challenges of their slopes, slalom down their runs and return home to the comforts provided by your cosy chalets.
La Tania is small, quiet and ideally located no matter what your preference.
It does, however, provide its guests with a chance to relax and enjoy their skiing pleasures far from the madding crowd.
