Easiest Way to Solve 3x3 Rubik's Cube
- 1). Solve the first step of the Rubik's cube by making a cross of white pieces on the face that has white at its center. You will know you have solved correctly when the white cross is on top and the blue and orange edge pieces -- pieces in the middle row that display two colors -- match the blue and orange center pieces.
- 2). Hold your cube so that the newly solved white cross remains on top.
- 3). Solve the white corner pieces so the edge pieces that also display blue and orange match up on their respective color sides. When you finish this step, your cube should have one entirely complete white face, a blue side with the top row complete and an orange side with the top row complete.
- 4). Hold the cube so the white layer is facing down.
- 5). Rotate pieces until you create a vertical line of blue cubes. To accomplish this, rotate the top of the cube until the color on a top edge piece matches a side center piece.
- 6). Solve for the yellow cross. If only the center yellow piece is in place, rotate the front and top one turn clockwise, then the right side one turn clockwise. Move the top and right faces counterclockwise one turn. Finally, rotate the front face counterclockwise one turn. Afterward, if your cube has a straight line of yellow pieces across the middle, turn the front face clockwise, then the right face clockwise, then the top clockwise. Next, move the right face counterclockwise, the top face counterclockwise and the front face counterclockwise to achieve the yellow cross.
- 7). Solve for the yellow corners. Turn the right face clockwise, the top face clockwise, then the right face counterclockwise. Next, turn the top face clockwise, the right face clockwise, the top clockwise twice, then the right face counterclockwise. Repeat this step once, twice or three times until the entire yellow face is completed.
- 8). Move the yellow corners until the top left and top right blue and orange cubes are in the correct places. To do this, turn the right face counterclockwise, the front face clockwise, the right face counterclockwise, the back face clockwise twice, the right face clockwise, the front face counterclockwise, the right face counterclockwise, the back face clockwise twice, the right face clockwise twice, then the top face counterclockwise.
- 9). Position the final yellow pieces to finish the cube.
