About Walk Patagonia:
Walk Patagonia is a small company based in Glaciares National Park, in El Chalten, Patagonia, Argentina that offers trekking, expeditions, and, as a registered travel agency, offers other travel planning services.
I sent questions to many tour companies in El Chalten and Walk Patagonia was one of just a few that responded.
Zoe Taylor, British - in charge of operations, a tour leader, camp organizer, interpreter/translator (that knows 5 languages!) answers my questions below.

Tours & Services:
Walk Patagonia treks and expeditions range in duration, number of days, seasons, and physical difficulty. Their website has a great layout to help guide a traveler in choosing which trek or expedition is right for them, with icons or a chart which breaks down each element of their trips. Some of their programs include:
- Laguna de los Tres: This is the trek to do if you only have one day in El Chaltén. A trek that takes you past impressive scenery, through forests until you arrive at the base of the iconic mountain, Fitz Roy. Not to be missed.
- Birdwatching: Specialized guides will accompany you through the scenery of Glaciares National Park and allow you to discover the emblematic bird species of this area.
- Mountain bike from Desierto Lake to El Chaltén: Start with a transfer from El Chaltén in 4x4 with the mountain bikes to Lago del Desierto (40km) and then return downhill along the same track to El Chaltén, with a few, but easy ascents. Lovely way to enjoy the scenery.
- Trekking to the Windy Pass (Trekking to "Paso del viento"): A difficult level, 3 day, challenging trek for those who are short of time but don’t want to miss the opportunity of arriving at Paso del Viento
- Expedition to Southern Continental Ice Field: A 7 to 9 day expedition which includes a 90km trek circling Mounts Fitz Roy and Torre. A once in a lifetime experience.
