Krungsri River Hotel in Ayutthaya, Thailand
- The only difference among the rooms at the Krugnsri River Hotel is the size. Rooms come in single, double and triple options. There are no suites, apartments or efficiencies at this hotel; however some rooms have seating areas with a couch and a coffee table.
Every room comes with a satellite television, a personal safe, a telephone and a minibar. Most importantly, each room also has a user-controlled air conditioner, which is of paramount importance in Southeast Asia.
The bathrooms are built with marble and come with all the basic toiletries. - The rates at the Krungsri River Hotel are static; they are the same all year long, and do not change on weekends. As of June 2010, a single room costs ฿1,487 (that's in Thai baht, or U.S.$45.83) per night, a double room ฿1,558 (U.S.$48.01) per night and a triple ฿2,301 (U.S.$70.93) per night.
- Guests at the luxurious Krungsri River can use the fitness center, meeting room, massage facilities, pool room and bowling alley. There is also a swimming pool surrounded by lush palm trees and a sauna. You will incur an extra charge for some of these services, such as a massage, but most are included in your nightly rate.
There is valet car parking and access to a popular river cruise.
As of June 2010, the Krungsri River does not offer wireless Internet service. - There is a wide variety of food options at the Krungsri River Hotel. From 6 a.m. to midnight every day, the attached Pasak Coffee Shop offers Thai food, western food and other Asian food from China and Cambodia.
There are also two buffets a day--a breakfast buffet from 6 a.m. to 10 a.m. and a lunch buffet from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
For those interested in Chinese food, the Gu-Cheung Chinese Restaurant caters to your needs from 11:30 a.m. till 2 p.m., and again from 5:30 p.m. till 10 p.m. During the lunchtime opening hours, dim sum is available.
Finally, the Riverside Restaurant offers al fresco dining from 6 p.m. till midnight. This restaurant specializes in barbecue and seafood. - The Krungsri River Hotel also offers karaoke at nighttime in the bar. For shoppers, the hotel is attached to a large shopping arcade.
During the day, the hotel can book you into a world heritage tour of Ayutthaya. This bus tour with an English-speaking guide takes you to 11 different temples in Ayutthaya. Lunch is included, and babies and toddlers ride for free.
