What Is the File Extension LXV?

    • LXV files come from Lexar Media's encryption solution for personal data storage. Lexar Media, Inc. provides secure data solutions for mobile devices.

    Function

    • An LXV file is the encryption vault that provides the encryption for the Lexar JumpDrive Secure II Plus USB Thumb Drive.

    Types

    • The Lexar JumpDrive Secure II Plus comes in models from 1GB to 16GBs, all using the same LXV file vault to secure data.

    Size

    • Since LXV files don't take up much disk space, the Lexar JumpDrive Secure II Plus remains highly usable while remaining secure.

    Features

    • LXV files are supported on Mac OS and Microsoft Windows operating systems. There is currently no port of the software for Linux.
