How to Share Files on Windows Live Messenger

- 1). Log in to Windows Live Messenger if you are not already logged in.
- 2). Select an online contact and open a chat window with the contact.
- 3). Select "Files" from the menu at the top of the chat window. Select "Send a file or photo" from the dropdown menu.
- 4). Navigate through the directory window that will pop up to find the file or photo you wish to share. When you have found the file, click on it and press the "Open" button.
- 5). Wait for your contact to accept the file. When your contact accepts the file, the transfer will begin.
- 6). Share a photo instantly by selecting "Photos" from the menu at the top of the chat window. Select a photo when the directory window pops up and click "Open" to open the photo.
- 7). Add more photos by clicking the "Add" button on the right side of the chat window.
- 8). Drag and drop photos from a folder directly into the chat window to instantly share a photo as an alternate method.
