- 1). Insert one end of your networking cable into each of the computers' Ethernet ports.
- 2). Go to the host computer, then click on "Start > Control Panel > Network and Internet," then click on "Network and Sharing Center." Alternatively, right-click on the network icon in the system tray and select "Network and Sharing Center" from the context menu. If the host computer is Windows XP, click on "Network and Internet Connections" (in the Control Panel), then click on "Network Connections."
- 3). Right-click on the connection you wish to share and select "Properties" from the context menu. Click on the "Sharing" tab ("Advanced" tab in Windows XP).
- 4). Click the checkbox for "Allow other network users to connect through this computer's Internet connection." Click "OK," then (in Windows XP only) click "Yes." You have now successfully shared your Internet over a T1 (or Ethernet) connection.
