One Year Wedding Checklist - Part Two
In my last article, I began the wedding checklist and was able to cover months twelve to four.
Today, this article will be a continuation describing what the bride needs to do for the upcoming months.
Two - Three Months Now that you have already sent out your save the dates, it is now time to send the invitations.
When it comes to the invitations, you need to make sure you have the following: directions and clarification.
Especially if you are having a destination wedding or guests from out-of-town, be sure to include a directions card with the invitations.
This is avoid you from receiving calls the day of your wedding from your guests trying to find the venue.
As for clarification, what I mean by this is to make sure you make it clear whether your guests are allowed to have a "plus one.
" I have been in two weddings where a guest has a date with nowhere to sit during the reception.
Not only was it awkward but it was a pretty cramped dinner table! Since you have already ordered the bridesmaids dresses, at this time you should be getting the last fittings for your girl.
Make sure, as I said before, to bring the heels they are going to wear for the ceremony.
With all the hustle and bustle of wedding planning, it is nice to kick back with your fiancé for a night and relax.
With this new found time, use it to choose your song, if you haven't had one yet.
Use the night to go through all the Top Hits in your relationship! This should be fun.
Some other tasks that need to be done in this time frame are choosing gifts for your wedding party, booking hair and makeup for the big day, apply for the marriage license, design wedding programs, and most importantly, contact your vendors for confirmation.
One Month Now that it is coming down to the wire, there are still a lot of things that need to be accomplished before you wedding day.
It is self-explanatory so I will list what needs to be done for this month.
Final wedding dress fitting.
go over playlist with the DJ, begin a rough draft of the seating chart for the reception, go over important paperwork for insurance and name changing, confirm honeymoon, get the marriage license, make any necessary payments, purchase day of accessories, contact guests who have not RSVP'd (after this, get the final head count then complete seating chart), bridal shower, and finally, have your bachelorette and bachelor party! One Day - One Week It is now down to the wire with tasks still to be finished.
At this time, prep all the apparel for the men and women, making sure everything is steamed and pressed.
Confirm all the vendors once more to make sure they know the exact time and place of the wedding.
Pay off the remaining balances as well as giving your marriage license to the officiant.
Begin to pamper yourself; get a tan, get your nails and another other necessary waxing before your big day.
Also, try not to forget to pack for your honeymoon.
Create a list of the essentials to make sure you have packed the basics before you leave.
At last, have your wedding rehearsal and dinner, get one last kiss from your man as a single woman, and get a good night's sleep.
Happy Planning!
