How to Remove the Back Seat From a Mustang Cobra
- 1). Park the Mustang and open both doors fully.
- 2). Pull the seat adjustment switch on the bottom of the seats or use the electronic switch to slide the front seats forward as far as possible.
- 3). Pull the seatback release switch (along the back edge of the front seats) upward and lean the front seats forward so that you can access the back seats.
- 4). Grasp the passenger-side rear seat belt and insert the buckle of the seat belt between the bottom of the rear seat and the carpeted floor panel about eight inches from the door seal at a horizontal angle.
- 5). Slide the buckle towards the center of the seat until it contacts the catch mechanism between the seat and the floor panel.
- 6). Pull the buckle towards you slightly then slide it approximately one more inch towards the center of the seat.
- 7). Push the buckle inward to release the seat catch mechanism.
- 8). Lift the seat up and remove it from the vehicle.
- 9). Repeat process on the passenger-side rear seat.
