- 1). Add 1 capful of mild laundry detergent to a bucket of water.
- 2). Use a ladder to climb up on the roof, bringing the bucket of soapy water and a nylon scrub brush with you.
- 3). Scrub the tin roof thoroughly, taking care to dislodge all the dirt and debris that might be on the surface of the tin.
- 4). Climb down the ladder with the bucket and brush.
- 5). Rinse the tin panels thoroughly with a hose. If you are cleaning the tin roof in preparation for painting, wait until the roof is thoroughly dry before you paint.
