Did You See That Green Tiger?
So, perhaps you are wondering where on earth you can find such a creature as a green tiger.
I mean everywhere you go we see tigers that are orange or even white, yet never green.
I have seen Green Tiger Tomatoes, Green Tiger Beetles and even cute little Green Tiger Barb Fishes, yet short of dipping a ferocious tiger in green food coloring I doubt very much I will be seeing a green tiger soon.
Well, guess again.
There is another way to be "Green" and I don't mean with envy or illness either.
I am talking about the environmentally friendly kind of green.
In a home based organizing business there are several ways to operate in the "green" and here are the ways I try to do just that: 1.
I re-use scrap paper when printing internal materials or when taking notes for myself.
2.
When purchasing paper, I prefer the recycled variety.
3.
I routinely set my laptop to hibernate when not in use and I always turn off my lights when I leave the office.
4.
I don't buy a lot of pre-packaged foods; I generally make things from scratch instead.
5.
I don't fill the air in my office or home with air fresheners or other chemical scents.
6.
I always recycle plastics, glass and paper waste from my home and office.
7.
I encourage my clients to recycle, sell or donate items they don't need.
8.
As a minimalist myself, I encourage my clients to not buy things they don't need or that won't add value to their lives.
9.
I provide a free gift of a small "Wallet Reminder Card" to my clients and others, which help them stop and think hard before they buy anything.
10.
I promote the use of environmentally friendly affiliated business such as refillable ink cartridge providers such as digitechlaser.
com and reusable moving container suppliers such as frogbox.
com.
Sure, there is still more that I can do to become even more earth friendly with my business, and I will always to watching for ways to improve.
I think what is important is that we all try to do our part to reduce our carbon footprints.
As it is, even the seemingly little things, ad up.
So when de-cluttering and downsizing is on your list and you have some things you need to part with, let me provide the help to make sure your unwanted items are handled in a environmentally friendly manner.
I will help you to donate, sell, consign or recycle and together we will do our part to stay green.
Just think, after your all organized, how green with envy your friends and clients will be when they see how much more effective and tidy you are.
