How to Get the SMG for Free in Grand Theft Auto San Andreas
- 1). Start off at the garage safe house in Doherty (San Fiero).
- 2). Steal a motorcycle or use one which you have stored in your garage. It is imperative that you use a motorcycle for this mission since you will be evading the FBI.
- 3). Drive to the railroad tracks, which are across the street from your safe house.
- 4). Take a right on the railroad tracks. Stay on the tracks until they make a fork. When this occurs, follow the left set of tracks down to Easter Basin. When you arrive at Easter Basin, take a left.
- 5). Stay on the right hand side of the road right along the water. Eventually, you will come upon a large metal fence with barbed wire on top. This is the Easter Basin Naval Station.
- 6). Take a right towards the Naval Station once the fence begin running perpendicular to the road. You should see an opening in the fence and a guard station.
- 7). Enter the Naval Station. This automatically earns you five stars, meaning that the FBI will begin chasing you.
- 8). Head back to the safe house. The safest way to do this is to go back the way you came, using the railroad tracks. FBI and cop cars will not follow you on railroad tracks.
- 9). Park your car right in front of the save disk.

Wait for FBI SUVs to arrive and stop. Once the FBI agents get out of their vehicle(s), immediately save your game. Doing so will erase the five stars you've accumulated. - 11
Follow the FBI agents either to the left or right. You should go whichever way the least amount of agents go. - 12
Kill the agents and take their guns. This will obviously cause other agents and cops to follow you. Quickly head back to the save disk and save your game before you are killed. Use this trick to both obtain the SMG and to refill your ammo when you are low.
