Top Surf Spots in Oahu - Part 2

We have known about some of the top surf spots in Oahu in part-1.
Now in part-2, know about some more surf spots.
First of all, let us talk about Ala Moana which is located at the mouth of the Ala Wai Yacht Harbor.
Popularly known as 'Bowls', Ala Moana is famous among locals in the summertime.
Rising up with south waves, it is mainly a left-hander that can be empty and rather heavy when it is actually thrusting.
There are many other nicks in the nearby reef that offer great fun and have a significantly smoother vibes.
Please take care of your valuables if you are in a rental car.
Another popular spot is Queens, the birthplace of modern surfing.
It is where the innovative Waikiki beach boys like Duke Kahanamoku and George Freeh invigorated the 'Sport of Kings', teaching about the ins and outs of riding waves.
Though Waikiki has matured rightly since the turn of the century, the atmosphere is still the same and a new age group beach boys offer surfing lessons in the calm, rising and falling waves.
To enjoy surfing at Queens, a day of long boarding is a must.
At the Diamond Head, the reefs under the shadow of the iconic dead volcano are absolutely worth a look.
It is one of the more uncovered spots on the island; therefore, environment can be rather windy.
This condition makes it a great spot to windsurf.
On a clear day, when a large number of reefs face in different directions, there are many other places to surf and the crowds are very much calmer than the other places in 'Town'.
Not very far from Diamond Head, is Sandy's located on the east side of the island.
It is one of the most popular bodysurfing points in the world.
The shallow shore-pound is not safe for the learners, but with a good pair of fins and some experience, one can enjoy getting knocked.
Its emerald green tubes present an extended close-out that gives sufficient time to take off, pull in and also get a view before coming onto the sand.
Please take care, because its power and shallowness can cause neck and back injury.
