Famous Tobacco Victims - Singer Renaldo Benson

Definition:

A singer for the Four Tops, Renaldo "Obie" Benson wrote and produced a number of Motown hits, including What's Going On, I Can't Help Myself (Sugar Pie Honey Bunch), Reach Out I'll Be There.

A cigarette smoker, Benson had a leg amputated due to circulation problems early in 2005. He suffered a heart attack following the surgery, and not long after, he was diagnosed with lung cancer. Benson died on July 1, 2005.
