Hi. I'm Tony Steuer, the Life Insurance Sage, and this is my tip on why companies order medical records. Companies order medical records as they are trying to evaluate whether or not you as a person are a good investment for them to provide life insurance on, such as when you apply for a mortgage, a company is going to run a credit report. When you purchase a life insurance policy, a company is making an investment in you and in your health. When they order the medical records, they are taking a look at your health history and determining whether or not you are a good investment for them.
