How to Use a Microsoft LifeCam
- 1). Place the Microsoft LifeCam VX-3000 in a position where it can capture an unobstructed view of you. Webcam users often place their webcams on top of their computer's monitor. Press the button on the top of the LifeCam. This opens your Windows Live Messenger software and displays a list of your online contacts.
- 2). Click the contact in your Windows Live Messenger list with whom you want to have a video chat session, and then click "OK." This opens a chat window.
- 3). Click "Video" in the chat window menu bar. This starts the video and audio broadcast. Speak into the LifeCam microphone or type a message in the chat window to begin your conversation. Video will be broadcast automatically to the contact with whom you are chatting.
