When twenty friends win the $386 million jackpot, their lives completely change, but not necessarily for the better. Twenty lives, twenty stories and most intriguing -- twenty secrets waiting to be exposed.
Is it Worth Your Precious Viewing Time?
Absolutely. Had this series premiered in the middle of the regular television season, the rest of the television dramas unfolding around us at the time probably would?ve swallowed it up.
The show started slow, and with the vast amount of characters being introduced right off the bat, I was a bit confused. As the stories began to unravel, the show quickly picked up and had me hooked, line and sinker. Windfall is the perfect example of how winning a large amount of money can bring out the best and worst in a person and when you've got twenty people involved, you have a series that will leave us wanting for more and anxiously waiting for next week's episode. Each character has a story to tell and a skeleton or two in that proverbial closet.
Why Only Four Stars?
While I feel that Windfall is a winner, I think getting to know each character (not to mention all of their names) will take time and I fear that once we finally become invested in this show and its cast of characters, the summer run will end and we may have to wait six or more months to see a new episode.
