What You Get With a Masters Ticket
If you like golf, you know all about the Golf Masters. And if you like golf, it is likely you would do anything to get your hands on a Masters ticket. However, because of the setup of this particular tournament, there really is no such thing as a ticket. Instead, there are loads of different ones and you will first have to decide exactly what you want to go see and do whilst you are in Augusta, where the tournament takes place.
The thing about the Masters is that it was designed in such a way that it was supposed to give an intimate feel. Spectators and players should be within touching distance of each other, and nobody should have to bring binoculars in order to witness the action. In fact, spectators follow the players around the course and are constantly within a close distance. For this reason, spaces are very limited and there aren't many tickets available.
In order to make sure that everybody gets at least somewhat of a chance to attend the Masters, it is also generally not possible to buy a ticket for all of the days of the Masters. If you do want to go to each and every day, you will generally have to purchase numerous tickets.
Generally, there are tickets for the opening rounds, for par 3, for the Friday and Saturday of play and for the Sunday. There are now also some tickets for the entire Friday to Sunday event. This way, people who don't have all the money in the world but still want to be able to say they were there will have an opportunity to do so. As you would expect, the prices for opening round and par 3 tickets are much lower than tickets for the finals.
More often than not, tickets also include hospitality, something that the Augusta Masters are famous for. This means you have access to an open bar, several meals and constant hors d'oevres at the site itself. Some offer the hospitality just off site, which is generally somewhat cheaper. However, it also means you are less likely to actually rub shoulders with the big golfing names.
