How to Create & Print a Flier

    • 1). Start a new Microsoft Word document. If it's not set already, click "view" and select "print layout" for the best look at documents you'll print.

    • 2). Think how you'd like your flier to look. Depending on what the flier is for, you may wish to add a border. Click "insert," then "picture," then "clipart." A box should open on the right side of your document with a search option. Enter "border" into the search box.

    • 3). Scroll through and select the image you'd like to insert into your document. Click the image you'd like to insert and select "insert" from the box that pops up. Alternatively, drag the thumbnail of the image you'd like onto the document directly.

    • 4). Click the image to select it. Right-click on the image and click "Format Picture." Click the "layout" tab and select "behind text." Click OK to accept this change. Use the dots on the corners of the image to resize the border to fit the paper that way you desire.

    • 5). Add text by using the WordArt function. Click "insert" and select "picture" and "WordArt." Type what you'd like into the box, select how you'd like the text to appear on your flier and click OK to insert it into the document. Right-click on the WordArt box and click "Format Picture." Click on the "layout" tab and select "behind text." Click OK to accept this change. Use the dots on the corners of the WordArt box to resize the text to fit the flier that way you desire.

    • 6). Add more text and more images by repeating steps two through five until your flier looks and says what you'd like. Select "file" and "print" to print the flier as many times as you want.
