How to Adjust the Seat Height In a Nissan Versa 2009 Hatchback

    • 1). Sit in the 2009 Nissan Versa's driver-side seat. Inspect the right edge of the seat cushion, between the cushion and the center console, for a plastic lever. This lever is used to adjust the seat's height.

    • 2). Push the seat lever down to raise the seat height. Repeat if necessary. The seat raises about two inches each time. When you can no longer push the lever down, the seat is as high as it will go.

    • 3). Grasp the front of the lever and pull it up to lower the seat. Repeat if necessary. When you can no longer pull the lever up, the seat is as low as it will go.

    • 4). Adjust the seat belt height after adjusting the seat, if necessary. Locate the height handle on the panel behind the edge of the door. Pull it up to raise the seat belt's height; push it down to lower it. Nissan recommends adjusting the seat belt height so the shoulder belt crosses your shoulder and chest. It should not cut into your neck.
