Political Culture

Definition: Political culture is the accumulated store of the symbols, beliefs, attitudes, norms, and other cultural products that shape and govern political life in a society. This includes flags, monuments, national anthems, attitudes of patriotism, etc. In sociology, political culture is studied in relation to political behavior and outcomes, its relationship to various political systems, and the socialization process through which it is passed from generation to generation.
